Business Development Leader (Commercial Office Interiors) - Position Summary This Business Development Leader position plays a key role in identifying, quantifying and qualifying new business opportunities for Office Furniture Center (OFC) premium pre-owned, remanufactured and value-price new office furniture and MAC Relocation (MAC) labor services (furniture decommissioning, relocation services, delivery & installation, and industrial racking solutions). Leads developed by the Business Development Leader (BDL) are turned over to OFC Furniture Specialists and MAC Relocation Consultants to work with end users and their representatives to close business; the BDL assists sales reps where needed throughout the sales process. Success in this position is found by actively seeking business opportunities through research, cold calling, participating in lead referral groups, belonging to industry trade associations, attending events, meeting directly with prospective end users, end user reps or surrogates, and the like. The BDL works closely with sales, marketing and executive management to develop strategies, execution plans and related collateral to introduce and position OFC and MAC to participate in new and follow-on procurements. The ability to secure and manage business relationships over time is essential for long-term repeat success. The BDL manages all business opportunity data within the company’s ERP system, NetSuite. The position provides for a base salary plus earnable commission based on achieving key performance indicators (KPI) as they relate to securing new and follow-on business (sales). Key Responsibilities: Prospecting, obtaining appointments, presenting furniture and service offerings and related follow-up activities

Identifying, developing, and maintaining relationships Business Executives and Owners, Finance, Facilities Management, Human Resource, Property Managers, Building Owners and related personnel charged with procuring office furniture and labor services

Utilizing social media, network partner referrals and proactive outbound activities to seek new business opportunities and secure appointments with top prospects with the goal of generating profitable revenue growth

Scheduling meetings or calls between prospective clients and OFC and MAC Furniture and Solution Specialists.

Able to multi-task and readily adapt to the needs of the situation or group dynamic (aka ability to think quick on your feet)

Have a broad understanding of office furniture industry practices and norms

CRM and data management experience preferred

Bachelor’s degree preferred

Ability to work both independently (most times) and as part of a team (when needed)

Compensation and Benefits Base salary plus earnable commission based on performance.
