Description

First Financial Bank has an immediate opening for a Universal Banker 1 at the Wynne Branch located in Wynne, Arkansas.

The primary responsibility of this position is to build professional relationships with customers and to promote the sale of all bank products while maintaining current knowledge of competitor's products, services, and current promotions. To work with both the operations and sales team to achieve personal and bank goals in the areas of deposit growth, business relationship growth and consumer relationship growth. In addition to assisting the Loan department with the essential duties outlined below while adhering to the Bank's policies and procedures, as well as all applicable state and federal banking regulations.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or GED; one to two years of college and/or Business school training preferred; two to four years financial or accounting experience; prior lending experience preferred; real estate knowledge helpful but not required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Engage customers in professional, meaningful conversations regarding their financial needs and goals while providing the best customer service. Identify consumer/business products, services and digital solutions, including online banking and mobile applications, to meet the needs of the consumer/business. Open and service personal and business accounts not limited to the following: Checking, Savings, CDs, IRAs. Identify referral opportunities for more complex business accounts, loans, business online banking and treasury and merchant services. Conduct teller transactions: deposits, withdrawals, payments, transfers, check cashing, negotiable purchasing, cash advance, wire transfer. Utilize a web-based version of Sageworks by Abrigo to perform lending related tasks. Request documents necessary for loan closings and assist loan officers with loan packages. Order title work, verifications and other documentation necessary for loans. Perform written and oral correspondence with customers. Retrieve system reports, prepare reports and/or input financial data into Excel, Word, or another bank program. Complies with all applicable Deposit and Loan Regulations including but not limited to BSA/AML/CIP, Reg CC, Reg E, and Reg DD. Follows policies and procedures; completes administrative tasks correctly and on time; supports the Bank's goals and values; benefits the Bank through activities outside of the Bank. Maintain office in manager or loan officer's absence. Other duties as assigned by management.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Must have experience with computers, calculators, fax machines and copy machines. Requires strong computer background in Excel and Word. Good telephone and people skills are a necessity. Must be a self-starter, able to work independently and be able to manage multiple projects and priorities. Must have excellent organization and time management skills and be able to work well under pressure.
