A seasoned Floor Lead is wanted immediately for The Spice & Tea Exchange®, a specialty retail shop that sells spices, herbs, teas, spice blends, and related products. Our Floor Leads are responsible for cultivating and maintaining thorough understanding, and complying with all The Spice & Tea Exchange® operating standards and procedures pertaining to the daily operation and management of the store. We are looking for individuals with excellent people skills who have a passion for cultivating an experience for guests. Responsibilities

  • Comply with all The Spice & Tea Exchange® operating standards and procedures pertaining to the daily operation and management of the store
  • Assist Store Managers with work and job results by coaching, counseling, and developing tea'm members; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results
  • Track and implement floor strategies based off of key performance indicators, and uplift tea'm members in meeting sales goals
  • Monitor and respond to the generic store email account on a daily basis in the absence of the Store or Assistant Managers
  • Communicate any necessary new information to the Store Manager and remaining staff
  • Sticker merchandise with labels, SKU's, prices, and locations and assist in the creation of labels and maintain adequate levels of backup labels
  • Blend and package products as necessary and where applicable
  • Assist in the recording of inventory registrations, write-offs, and invoices in the back end of the POS
  • Stock shelves, containers, counters, and tables with merchandise, assist with monthly, quarterly, or annual physical inventory, and maintain inventories to ensure product availability
  • Establish and maintain rapport with guests to ensure their return and/or word of mouth advertising
  • Uphold and promote The Spice & Tea Exchange® brand at all times while in uniform
  • Assure that deposits are made on a daily basis for each day of business in absence of the Store Manager
  • Secure merchandise by implementing security systems and measures
  • Balance and reconcile register daily at the open and close of business
  • Contribute and maintain a cohesive store team unit by actively contributing to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed
Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 1-3 years of retail management experience
  • Computer skills (google office, POS/Inventory systems)
  • Availability on week days and weekends, mornings, afternoons, and late evenings


Compensation: $21.00 per hour
