Job Summary:

As our Leaves Specialist you will be responsible for the processing and tracking of all leaves of absence for the Company, as well as assisting with other related Employee Benefits functions, such as benefits inquiries, information reporting, and ensuring compliance of all local, state, and federal leave guidelines.

Responsibilities:
Leave of Absence Administration
  • Manages disability / leave of absence processes with employees for FMLA, STD/LTD, Personal Leaves, etc. while ensuring adherence to all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Coordinate with HR and management leaves eligibility, as well as return to work status.
  • Provide basic support for employee benefits, such as inquiries surrounding the administration of benefit policies and procedures, and appropriately escalate high-level questions to Benefits Manager.
  • Supports HRIS systems to ensure proper functionality, usage, and data integrity across all levels of company.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Assist Benefits Manager in planning, scheduling, and promoting various wellness offerings
  • Facilitate field Manager training with general ADA/Leaves information

Qualifications

Our ideal candidate would have:

Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Management, Business, Human Resources, or related field; or any combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
  • 1+ years of demonstrated Human Resources and/or Leaves/Benefits experience.
Experience:
  • 1+ years of demonstrated Human Resources and/or Leaves/Benefits experience is minimally required.
Other Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Competencies:
  • Demonstrate the ability to problem solve and handle sensitive and confidential situations and information.
  • Demonstrate a strong customer-centered service philosophy.
  • Demonstrate a friendly and outgoing personality with a courteous and professional presence.
