HR Assistant

Our collaborative HR department is looking for a conscientious, self-disciplined, and well-organized HR Assistant to work in the Jacksonville office and to be an integral member of the team.The successful candidate will be organized, detail oriented, and diplomatic communicator who is responsive and able to handle multiple priorities.This person will be supporting company and department initiatives while providing excellent customer service to our employees.

This HR Assistant will be working within a small team and assisting in a variety of areas including but not limited to:

  • Onboarding: reference checks, coordinating onboarding processes, drug screens, background checks, ensuring appropriate paperwork is completed, and employee files are created accurately.
  • Administrative/ Compliance: ensure employee files are updated and accurate, filing, assisting with updating forms and documents as appropriate, running reports as needed.
  • Employee Support: welcoming new employees onboard, providing assistance and support to employees, assisting with questions that may come up.
  • Benefits: helping employees get enrolled with their benefits, helping with needs regarding FMLA, workers compensation, short-term disability, and payroll/timeclock questions.

FINDING THE PERFECT MATCH
  • Experience in Human Resources is preferred but willing to consider relevant college education. New (or upcoming) college graduates are welcome
  • Must have excellent computer skills and be proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Must have the ability to organize and prioritize projects in a fast-paced changing business environment.
  • Proficient planning, time management, and decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact and communicate effectively with all levels of an organization.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to work independently and with minimal supervision.
