SRT Consultants is a specialized water resources engineering firm located in San Francisco, CA. Our firm provides quality engineering services to public and private clients in the water and wastewater industries. We are seeking a full-time water/ww project engineer to join our diverse team. Initial work could include condition assessment/preliminary design of water/ww facilities, engineering services during construction for water/ww systems, and development of plans and specifications for infrastructure projects. Travel within the greater Bay Area will be required for onsite project work.
In addition to an established portfolio of exciting water and wastewater projects, SRT offers a unique working environment within the Civil Engineering industry that has a strong focus on work-life balance and flexibility. SRT employees are currently working hybrid schedules, part-time from home and part-time in our San Francisco office.
Candidate must possess the following:
- An undergraduate or graduate level civil/environmental engineering degree and 0-5 years working in the Civil Engineering industry, with emphasis on water and wastewater projects
- Effective technical writing skills and interpersonal communication
- Proficiency in word processing and spreadsheets (MS Office), and digital communication platforms
- Proficiency in engineering design software such as AutoCAD and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D
The candidate should have experience and knowledge relating to:
- Engineering principles, practices, and methods applicable to hydraulics, hydrology, and treatment processes in water and wastewater engineering
- Operation and design of water distribution systems and/or sewer collection systems
- Water facilities planning and permitting experience
- Water and wastewater Federal and State regulations
Preferred qualifications
- EIT License
- Experience with hydraulic modeling software such as WaterCAD and/or InfoWater
- Internship or work experience at a water/ww engineering consulting firms or utility
Qualified candidates with 0-5 years of experience are encouraged to apply. Future project management opportunities are available for engineers with an appropriate level of experience. Compensation and benefits are competitive and dependent upon experience.
