Summary: As part of a mission centric, locally delivered and nationally powered organization, as the Business Analyst II at LLS, you will support enhancement and project work by eliciting, documenting, and analyzing business requirements and processes, identifying opportunities for improvement and enhanced efficiency. Accountabilities:
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Requirements Elicitation - Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business objectives, processes and requirements for internal projects and initiatives. This may involve conducting interviews, workshops, and surveys to elicit requirements effectively while identifying gaps, inconsistencies, and opportunities for improvement. Conduct reviews and walkthroughs to ensure requirements accurately reflect the stakeholder's expectations and priorities.
- Process Analysis & Documentation - Conduct interviews/facilitate workshops to identify business process improvement candidates, explore potential improvements and document current and future state processes.
- Requirements Analysis & Documentation - Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including business requirements, business scope, process/activity diagrams, and other relevant documentation using standardized templates and tools to support new and enhanced business processes and platforms. Ensure that documentation is clear, concise, and accurately reflects stakeholders' needs.
- Stakeholder Engagement - Build and cultivate relationships, foster a culture of collaboration while partnering with stakeholders to increase stakeholder buy-in and engagement. Serve as primary point of contact for your internal stakeholders, providing regular updates, managing expectations, and addressing concerns. Ability to lead without direct management of your stakeholders is important.
- Communication - Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical/web teams. Serve as point of contact during refinement and sprint planning to communicate business needs to the team. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure a shared understanding of project goals and requirements.
- Testing Support - Participate in testing activities by facilitating UAT. This may include test case/script development, test execution, and defect management. Work closely with QA team to ensure that solutions meet business requirements and quality standards.
- Collaboration- Partner with interdepartmental teams (business, training, communication, change management) in support of project and enhancement delivery.Help foster a culture of partnership with internal teams and stakeholders.
- Continuous Improvement - Engage in continuous learning to stay updated on emerging trends and best practices. Proactively contribute ideas and suggestions for enhancing the effectiveness of our processes and practices.
Education & Experience Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience as a business analyst.
- CCBA or similar certification (nice to have).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with all levels of staff and management.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with Agile development approaches and tools.
- Experience with process development, documentation & diagramming.
- Capable of managing multiple priorities independently.
- Experience in the nonprofit industry.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Average salary range is $56K-$81K, open to further discussion based on geography.
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
- Minimal weekend & evening work required dependent on projects overseeing
- Minimal travel based on related projects and department meetings (~5%)
