The IT Specialist will provide desktop and basic server administration support. The ideal candidate performs a significant amount of customer facing support and will configure, install, and troubleshoot computer hardware, software, and peripheral devices in a mixed environment. The position will be responsible for all setup and preparation of new hires, systems, phones, accounts and email. The role will also be doing Phone system, Active Directory, MS 365, and Azure administration.

***Given the nature of work, this is an in-office role that requires availability during normal business hours (9am 6pm) and after hours for urgent support questions***

**About the IT Support Specialist Position**

Responsibilities

* Configure and install IT hardware, including laptops, desktops, printers and network equipment

* Maintain Microsoft 365, Active Directory accounts, group policies and security updates

* Troubleshoot OS and hardware issues for systems running Windows and MacOS

* Asset tag and maintain an accurate and up to date inventory of equipment

* Administer and Troubleshoot VPN Access

* Provision and maintain phones and users in VoIP system

* Manage vendor relationships, order new laptops, phones, and printers as well as process RMAs for defective parts or systems

* Maintain MS Teams Room Systems deployed in the office

Requirements

* 1-3 years of experience with desktop support

* Strong understanding of computer hardware and software

* Impeccable communication and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail

* Friendly disposition and great sense of humor excellent customer service

* Desire to learn and develop professionally, and work in a dynamic business environment

* Ability to lift 50lbs

Required Technical Knowledge:

* Managing, configuring and troubleshooting of Windows 10 and Mac OS

* Knowledge of Remote access solutions (VPN, Terminal Services)

* Anti-Virus Installation and Management

* PowerShell scripting ability

* Basic knowledge of TCP/IP Networking

What will make you stand out:

* Basic knowledge of Linux tools

* Linux server administration

* Experience with managing MS 365
