You have come to the right place.Basic Utility/Sanitation Worker Purpose:GA Foods is hiring a Utility/Sanitation Worker to assist in maintaining a clean operation and proper sanitation of service articles and equipment. This is an entry-level position in a food production environment, with no previous experience required. The ideal Utility/Sanitation Worker will be a candidate with proven outstanding attendance record who is looking to grow with a company.Utility/Sanitation Worker Responsibilities, Including but not Limited To:Performs equipment cleaning, dishwashing, general cleaning, scrubbing, floor cleaning, restroom cleaning and other related work in keeping the plant, offices and grounds clean using in-house cleaning equipment, aids and preparationsMaintain cleanliness and follow proper sanitation procedures for food preparation equipment, coolers, freezers, sinks, restrooms, dishroom, general work areas and dock, waste (outside garbage)Assist kitchen staff with packing and portioning of meals as neededPrepares and cleans dock area as needed throughout the work day, compacts trash and cardboard, empties, sprays and pushes transporter warmers to pot room, cleans parking areas and groundParticipate in company-required trainingOther duties as assigned by managementUtility/Sanitation Worker Requirements:No prior experience required, preference given to candidates with production backgroundAble to follow instructions/directionsAble to meet employer's attendance standardsGood communication skillsTeam PlayerFood Safety Certification or ServSafe Certification a plusWork Schedule: 1:30pm-9pmPhysical Demands:Under 1/3: Climb or balance, Taste or smell 1/3 to 2/3: Stoop/kneel/crouch/crawlOver 2/3: See, Stand, Walk, Use hands to finger/handle/feel, Reach with hands and arms, Talk or hear Weight Lifting/Exertion1/3 to 2/3: Up to 50 lbs.Over 2/3: Up to 25 lbs.Diversity and Inclusion:We believe in diversity of thought and bringing together other traits and characteristics that make an individual bring a unique experience to GA Foods.
