Job Title: Utility/Sanitation Worker

Join GA Foods Inc, a dynamic and growing company, as a Utility/Sanitation Worker. We are seeking a motivated individual to assist in maintaining a clean operation and proper sanitation of service articles and equipment.

Job Summary:

The Utility/Sanitation Worker will be responsible for performing equipment cleaning, dishwashing, general cleaning, scrubbing, floor cleaning, restroom cleaning, and other related work in keeping the plant, offices, and grounds clean. This is an entry-level position in a food production environment, with no previous experience required.

Responsibilities:
  • Clean and sanitize equipment, utensils, and work areas to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Assist kitchen staff with packing and portioning of meals as needed.
  • Prepare and clean dock area, compact trash and cardboard, empty, spray, and push transporter warmers to pot room, clean parking areas, and grounds.
  • Participate in company-required training.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
  • No prior experience required, preference given to candidates with production background.
  • Able to follow instructions/directions.
  • Able to meet employer's attendance standards.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Team Player.
  • Food Safety Certification or ServSafe Certification a plus.
  • Work Schedule: 1:30pm-9pm.
Physical Demands:
  • Under 1/3: Climb or balance, Taste or smell.
  • 1/3 to 2/3: Stoop/kneel/crouch/crawl.
  • Over 2/3: See, Stand, Walk, Use hands to finger/handle/feel, Reach with hands and arms, Talk or hear.
Weight Lifting/Exertion:
  • 1/3 to 2/3: Up to 50 lbs.
  • Over 2/3: Up to 25 lbs.
