IMMERSIVE Design Build Collective is seeking an experienced and motivated Custom Residential Construction Foreman to join our talented team in scenic Stowe, Vermont. As our Working Foreman, you will lead and work alongside a team of skilled tradespeople, overseeing every phase of our custom residential projects from groundbreaking to the final touches. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the Team On-Site: Direct daily activities and coordinate a team of tradespeople, maintaining a positive and efficient work environment.
- Full Scope Ground-Up Construction: Oversee and actively participate in every step of building custom homes, including framing, roofing, custom woodwork, and finish carpentry.
- Supervise Subcontractors and Safety: Manage subcontractor schedules, enforce safety standards, and ensure adherence to all job site protocols.
- Blueprint Execution and Quality Control: Interpret plans accurately, uphold quality standards, and troubleshoot any on-site challenges with clear communication and a proactive approach.
- Project Management: Oversee scheduling, materials ordering, and resource management to ensure projects are on track, on time, and within budget.
- Mentor and Train Team Members: Provide mentorship, share technical expertise, and foster an environment for growth and skill development among team members.
- Experience: 5+ years in residential construction, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or foreman role. Strong skills in carpentry from framing to finish are essential.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead a team effectively, prioritizing safety, quality, and communication.
- Technical Proficiency: Extensive knowledge of construction techniques and equipment, including the operation of 45' and 65' boom lifts and machinery like tractors.
- Physical Stamina: Able to lift 50 lbs+, work at heights, and handle varying weather conditions with a dedication to the job.
- Blueprint and Documentation Skills: Comfortable reading and interpreting construction plans and ensuring execution aligns with specifications.
