Senior Mechanical EngineerArgonFDS designs and produces rugged display monitors and computers for DoD applications, and for cabin management and inflight entertainment systems used on private, commercial and government executive jets.We are seeking a candidate experienced in DoD C4ISR military designs to lead the mechanical engineering design activities located at our Alpharetta, Georgia facility.The successful candidate will be a hands-on designer, ensuring, first and foremost that our company proprietary design techniques are incorporated into all of our rugged products, along with ensuring the integrity of design, manufacturability, producibility and that schedules are met.Key attributes for the successful candidate are to have experience in mechanical engineering techniques, ruggedization compounds and build techniques. Duties/Responsibilities:Interprets customer specifications to define requirements for mechanical designs.Creates mechanical layouts and design concepts for new products using SOLIDWORKS®.Works with electrical engineers to ensure proper placement and wiring of circuit card assemblies. Knowledge of properties for material such as metals, plastics, adhesives and gaskets.Knowledge of fastening hardware.
