Job Title: Senior Technical Support Engineer

This is a temporary role through Magnit Global supporting one of the world’s leading technology companies. This is a hybrid role to Santa Clara, CA. Please note this is NOT a corp to corp opportunity.

Role Overview: Senior Technical Support Engineer The Technical Support Engineer will be responsible for managing and resolving the most challenging issues for the ServiceNow Technical Support team focusing on ServiceNow Technologies. This includes being the last point of escalation within the technical support department and mentoring junior team members in the various technologies. The successful candidate will be able to quickly gain an understanding of the ServiceNow platform. This is a customer-facing role and therefore it requires strong inter-personal skills in addition to strong technical skills. The Technical Support Developer must able to work outside of normal business hours (evening/weekend shifts, holidays) as needed.

Skills & Experience: 4+ years’ experience as a Developer or Database Administrator role Applied experience with Javascript, required Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot difficult technical issues Working knowledge of the components in a web applications stack Experience writing and debugging Object Oriented code (Java preferred, other relevant technologies ok) Experience in scripting languages - JavaScript, Python, Unix Shell, etc. Experience with relational databases (e.g. MySQL, Oracle) Experience with OS - Linux, Unix, Windows Excellent verbal and written communication skills Works well in a team environment Strong personal commitment to quality and customer service Ability to understand and communicate complex technical systems Proven ability to maintain a professional demeanor when handling complex user issues Demonstrated ability to perform under pressure

Preferred Skills: A fundamental understanding of ITSM, ITIL, or CMDB Deep understanding of JavaScript. Advanced MySQL experience Experience in debugging source code Proficient with Linux commands

Experience Bachelor’s degree: Computer Science or equivalent area of study

Location: This is a HYBRID role - in office x2-x3 per week to Santa Clara, CA

Hourly Pay Rate Range (dependent on location, experience, expectation) The pay range that Magnit reasonably expects to pay for this position is: $40/ hour-$52/ hour - W2 Only Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K (provided minimum eligibility hours are met)
