Job DescriptionLKQ Heavy Truck Division is GROWING We are looking for a Plant Manager in Training to join our team. This person will be responsible for learningall aspects of branch operations, i.e., quality assurance, customer satisfaction, personnel, and inventory. Implements and maintains sound management policy regarding the selection, direction, and motivation of employees, and directs the total care, custody, and control of physical assets of the branch. This is a training position that entails an assessment period before becoming an individual Plant Manager. You must be able to relocate to other Heavy Truck locations as well.To train in every aspect of branch operation for the position of Plant Manager. This training is to take place in numerous branch locations and sizes to obtain a thorough understanding.Essential Job Duties Train in all aspects of warehouse operations (including shipping and receiving, cycle counting, warehouse reports, personnel management, pick ticket processing and pulling, driver check-in/out, RF processes, warranty/vendor claim bin processes, and warehouse equipment maintenance and upkeep).Train in all aspects of administrative operations (including A/R reports, postings, RMA CM processing, deposit reconciliation preparation, A/P Reports, VIRE, warranty/vendor claim processing, hand pay process, and manifest processing).Train in all aspects of sales, customer service, and inside sales responsibilities (including phone and counter sales, sales order process and research, product lookup, etc.).Train as necessary in all aspects of the production department process.Receive training on outside sales calls and customer relations.Receive training on personnel management.Receive training on ISO, housekeeping audit process (work instructions, training documentation, employee files, new hires process, etc).Receive training on KRONOS timekeeping procedures.Receive training for budget preparation and adherence.Assume other duties as assigned.Base Salary Range $80k to $120k annually (based on location and experience)RequirementsBasic QualificationsEducation Experience:High School graduate or G.E.D. equivalent required.Manufacturing background is required for branch locations engaged in manufacturing activities.Prior experience that demonstrates effective supervision and leadership skills required.Preferred Qualifications:College coursework desired.2+ years automotive industry experience preferred.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:Must have strong written and verbal communication skills and able to handle many responsibilities in an organized manner.Able to work under pressure.Essential Physical Demands/Work Environment:This position must be able to stand for long periods, sit, walk, push, pull, bend, climb, and move/lift to 75 pounds regularly.They must be able to climb ladders, and stairs and withstand heights of more than 15 feet.The employee is occasionally exposed to extreme cold and extreme heat.Occasional overnight travel required.
