The Account Manager II will coordinate and manage the delivery of retail QAQC's and customer engagement events for a residential energy efficiency program to ensure program goals are achieved. The Account Manager II will report, and work, in close partnership with the Program Manager.

The Account Manager II will assume the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Assign and map territories for the Account Managers to ensure sufficient coverage of the client's service area
  • Generate and coordinate retail store lists for the Account Managers for daily QAQC and store engagement events
  • Ensure monthly QAQC stats are uploaded to client implementation contractor for QAQC
  • Uploading monthly activity to IT to generate client dashboards
  • Prepare weekly field updates for weekly client calls
  • Represent SEEL in bi-weekly calls w/ outreach partners
  • Represent SEEL in monthly field meetings with partnering implementation contractor
  • Prepare monthly line-ups of engagement events for the client and enter them into the client's Smartsheet
  • Manage in-house field inventory for engagement events
  • Monthly check-ins with Account Managers to ensure quality performance and to provide leadership
  • Track and monitor all field activity to ensure program goals are achieved
  • Visit the field routinely to monitor the performance of the Account Managers and to stay on top of market changes
  • Manage vehicle maintenance, citations, etc. for team vehicles and ensure Account Managers are adhering to safe driving standards in the field
  • Continuous improvement - challenge the team to make improvements to better the program
  • Provides back-up field coverage for the Account Managers, when necessary
SKILLS/ABILITIES
  • Experience in program design and has substantial energy knowledge
  • Professional appearance and decorum
  • Experience in analytics and reporting
  • Ability to see trends in data, understand origin of data, and incorporate data into meaningful reports and/or presentations.
  • Ability to effectively communicate-both written and verbally.
  • Strong general business and analytical skills
  • Experienced in delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needs
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented work environment
  • Ability to work well independently, manage time effectively, be self-directed
  • A solid knowledge of energy efficiency technologies and practices, required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Business, Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
  • Valid Driver's license and safe driving record in the last 5 years
  • 5 years' experience in energy efficiency and retail (big box, club stores, independents, etc.) environment
  • 3 years' experience effectively leading, motivating, and mentoring teams
  • Strong time management, organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Travel frequently (locally in Chicagoland), 25-40%
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Ability to pass background check and drug screen
