Sales Analyst, Kroger - Everyday Business

Cincinnati, OH

The position of a Sales Customer Analyst is a tactical role with strategic responsibility. This position faces a wide range of challenges and responsibilities providing deliverables both internally and to the customer. The Sales Analyst's main responsibilities are to ensure operational & reporting efficacy and demonstrate ability to find customer insights to drive growth. Understanding Mars business needs, the Customer Analyst will represent unique needs of customer and be able to translate for internal stakeholders.

What are we looking for?
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 1+ year of sales or analytics experience, preferably within the Consumer Packaged Goods industry
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Forecasting, Business Analytics or Customer-facing experience preferred but not required
  • Ability to travel 10% - 15% of the time
What would be your key responsibilities?
  • Providing thought leadership, coordination, and integration of projects for the Kroger Sales team; focused on Everyday Confectionary Business - HQ.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to drive profitable sales and gain share via promotional analysis, monthly sales trends (shipments and consumption) and share reporting.
  • Guiding the interpretation, use, and implications of analyses to improve business decisions and customer solutions in partnership with the sales team
  • Connects and communicates learning (as a result of analytical projects) to Sales Director and sales organization to inform, educate and assist.
  • Own critical sales planning process tasks including; everyday business estimating/check-pointing, weekly reporting and understanding of business drivers, spend management and post promotional analysis, retail team reporting/communication, volume planning and reconciliation in system and New item/customer period review presentation support.
  • Promotional planning, analysis and Trade Management: Pull data, analyze, monitor and track promotional ad execution to support managing of trade spending in partnership with Everyday CBL to ensure accurate and efficient trade spending within authorized budget
  • Continuously improving and expanding analytical approach and capabilities. Becoming a key subject matter expert of category and customer business.
  • Ensuring the objectivity and integrity (quantity, quality, timeliness) of analyst deliverables
  • Build and maintain relationship with cross functional team (internal and external)
