Job Summary: Provide Robot, PLC, and HMI programming for machine control systems as well as field support and troubleshooting both on-site and remotely. Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Additional responsibilities include technical support for manufacturing, in-house build, and field support of automotive test systems. Qualifications: BSE with emphasis on controls or robotics systems or demonstrate knowledge of robotic control system concepts used in the automation industry. 3+ years' experience is preferred. PLC experience: Allen Bradley is preferred. Understanding of industrial networking. Understanding of pneumatic designs. Robotic experience: Fanuc is preferred (CR_COBOT, CRX and DCS); Kuka, Motoman and ABB are a plus. Ability to travel domestically and internationally (30-40%) Ability to solve problems using electrical prints, mechanical prints, and technical. documentation. Ability to quickly learn new and legacy machines. Primary Responsibilities: Program robots and PLC controls with minimal assistance. Program and troubleshoot robot systems by working with the assembly and engineering team. Ability to instruct Field Service Engineers in the operations and startup of machinery and robotic controls. Ability to instruct Field Service Engineers in the operations and startup of machinery and robots. Ensure effective communication with customers, project managers, and team members. Provide support for new and existing equipment. Lead machine startups and coordination of installation services. Ability to train other robotic engineers and control engineers. Skills: Ability to work independently and in a team. Ability to manage multiple projects and work closely within a cross-functional team environment. Proficient in using Microsoft Office products. Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
