Aspire Medical Staffing is in search of a dynamic Credentialing Coordinator to add to the team

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

Responsibilities:

Objectives:

  • Processing initial credentialing packets and re-credentialing applications
  • Screening practitioners' applications and supporting documentation to ascertain their eligibility
  • Verify healthcare credentials, to include background checks, license verifications, education, and employment verifications
  • Collecting information from the National Practitioner Data Bank (NPDB), applicant and their malpractice insurer, and other relevant sources
  • Identifying discrepancies in information and conducting follow-ups
  • Presenting applications to Aspire Customer for processing and approval
  • Assisting customers with credentialing inquiries
  • Responding to health plan provider inquiries
  • Capturing primary source documentation in computer databases
  • Tracking and coordinating renewals with staff to remain current
  • Maintain database to remain compliant (iCIMS)
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, procedures, and policies
  • Ensure credential packet compliant with corresponding customer requirements


Qualifications:

Skills and Qualifications

  • High school diploma required
  • 1 Associate's Degree preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Adobe, Google Drive/Gmail, and general computer skills
  • Ability to focus for extended periods
  • 2+ years office environment experience
  • 1+ years credentialing experience with hospital medical staff preferred
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and record keeping skills
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to multitask
  • Skill in establishing priorities with independent coordination of day-to-day aspects
  • Knowledge of military credentialing process
  • Knowledge of medical credentialing procedures and standards preferred (Immunizations and required tests)
  • Certified Provider Credentials Specialist (CPCS) certification a plus
