Lead Credential Analyst

Lead Responsibilities:
- Lead the maintenance of credential files of active students including documentation of eligibility for field placement as well as all requirements for credential recommendation.
- Contributes to the oversight of other team members when they are serving in a credential analyst capacity.
- Send notices and reminders to credential candidates regarding outstanding requirements.
- Supervise the submission of applications in compliance with California credentialing regulations to the state credentialing authorities, (i.e., CCTC).
- Verify completion of requirements to confirm Program Completers; certify all candidates for recommendation for Intern Credentials, Preliminary Credentials, and/or Authorizations.
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation and tracking of all documents received and processed, recommendations made, communications, etc. using Banner, Tevera, Salesforce, and other technologies.
Outreach:
- Act as an additional advisor to students regarding credential and academic requirements for their program.
- Support the Department of Learning and Teaching and the Director of Field Placement with stakeholder outreach as it pertains to field placements.
- Lead the MOU process (tracking, renewal, signature collection, coordination with departments, new agreement establishment, legal review, etc.).
- Meet with students, alumni, faculty, and administrators on an individual or group basis as needed regarding credential programs.
- Attend Open Houses and/or Information Sessions and present information as part of outreach events for prospective credential students.
- Maintain general knowledge of other states’ requirements as a resource for students in other markets.
Communication:
- Serves as a resource to provide current information to students, staff, and members of the faculty on matters regarding State credential requirements.
- Acts as school liaison with the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing, and updates appropriate academic departments on changes and impacts on programs from that office.
- Attend conferences and workshops to stay current on applicable regulations and procedures.
- Participate in department meetings, orientations, or other events as requested/directed, collaborate with the department academic program managers to keep relevant forms and documents updated, and share credentialing information with students as appropriate.
- Attends meetings and conferences requiring periodic out of town travel.
- Present information to faculty and administrators and make recommendations as needed for academic program adjustments according to state credential requirements.
Administrative:
- Run specialized reports utilizing various software including Excel, Salesforce, Banner, and Tevera.
- Provide administrative support on special projects as assigned by Director of Assessment and Accreditation, particularly regarding national, state, and regional accreditation reporting requirements such as the CTC Annual Data Report and Title II.
- Actively maintain the credential sections of the SOLES website using Cascade CMS.
- Update and keep current Teaching Credential and Pupil Personnel Services credential handbooks for posting on the portal.
Special Conditions of Employment:
- Able to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends (on and off campus) when necessary.
Background check: Successful completion of a pre-employment background check.
Degree Verification Requirement : Persons offered employment in this position will be required to provide official education transcripts for degree verification purposes.
Job Requirements:Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
- Five years of professional experience in a similar or related position. A Master’s degree may substitute for up to one year of required work experience, at the rate of two years of education is equivalent to one year of work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- 1-2 years of experience as a credential analyst is preferred.
- Policy and policy implementation experience.

- Understanding of PK-12 or experience within school, teacher education, and/or school counseling environments.

- Knowledge of and/or experience with California credentialing regulations.
- High proficiency with technology such as Microsoft Suite, Google Suite, Salesforce, CRM, Banner, and Tevera or similar LMS.

- Strong familiarity with office equipment (computer, copier, scanner, and other equipment as required).
- Expertise in Microsoft Office, database management, CMS website, Salesforce dashboards and reports, and software such as Tevera preferred.
