Position Purpose

The Wholesale Parts Specialist is responsible for advising and selling parts and accessories to wholesale parts customers and actively solicits wholesale accounts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist retail and wholesale customers via telephone, fax, email and in-person.
  • Consult with the technicians and assist them in selecting the correct parts for repairs.
  • Ensure all unused and/or returned parts are returned to inventory and recorded accurately.
  • Solicit wholesale parts business by contacting a selected group of independent garages, service stations, and body shops on a regular basis through direct contact and telemarketing.
  • Maintain adequate inventory on shelves and in bins by reporting items needing to be recorded and identifying any discrepancies in the stocking levels and participate in perpetual daily and other physical inventories as needed.
  • Assist accounts with service problems by making available technical help, cost, and total parts on orders identifying eligible wholesale customers when applicable.
  • Obtain necessary information to initiate credit on applications for new accounts per internal credit policy.
  • Direct and monitor delivery schedule and maintenance of parts vehicle.
  • Assist in collection process of past due accounts.
  • Assist in handling sales follow-up by tracking special orders.
  • Stocking parts when shipments are received.
  • Maintain inventory to ensure parts are available for technicians.
  • Complies with all safety rules and use all appropriate safety and personal protection equipment as required.
  • Safeguard customer and Dealer information per established policy.
  • Exemplifies organizational culture and holds others in department accountable for doing the same.
  • Adhere to work schedule and arrive at work before your scheduled start time and be at your work station productively engaged by the scheduled time.
  • Must maintain accurate attendance records "clocking in and out".
  • Accomplishes all current and future tasks as appropriately assigned or requested.
  • Adhere to established dress code po0licy at all times.
  • Other related duties as may be assigned
