General Purpose of the Position Develops, coordinates and distributes informational and promotional releases to members and prospective members to encourage participation in credit union programs. This position is directly involved in the writing, design, layout and publication of timely marketing materials, e-communications and other messages of the credit union. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (includes the following). May perform other duties as requested or assigned. Manages and/or assists marketing projects and programs (including events, website, campaigns, internal requests and branch marketing) by assisting in the creation of marketing materials and filtering incoming marketing requests and opportunities. This includes managing and collaborating with outside vendors, project production, copywriting, printing and distribution. Writes copy for website, emails, newsletters, brochures and other communications to advertise existing and new credit union products and programs that reflects our brand. Supports staff is awareness of all marketing efforts by updating and maintaining the Intranet (Atlas) with accurate information and collateral. Produces website content and assists in content creation for social media accounts. Supports the development and execution of data-informed content strategies by assisting with the measurement and reporting on the performance of content across all digital channels using analytics tools and recommending and implementing improvements to increase engagement and conversions. Is responsible for the independent planning, execution, and delivery of assigned regular occurring tasks. These tasks include but are not limited to, search engine optimization, website reviews, social media content, and statement inserts. Consults and collaborates with vendors, members, staff and other officials to develop marketing ideas and needs. Gathers information pertinent to planning and execution of marketing functions and promotional campaigns. Helps convey this information to appropriate stakeholders. Assists in the marketing research and development of new products. Represents the credit union at community events to promote products and services. Provides excellent service by demonstrating courtesy and personal concern for members and co‑workers needs and follows‑up to ensure those needs are met. Assists leadership with special projects and duties as assigned. Adhere to all Federal and State laws and regulations applicable to the credit union, including the Bank Secrecy Act and OFAC. Requirements EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from an accredited four (4) year college or university, plus 3-5 years of additional experience in a related field or any equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Traditional or digital marketing, copywriting, and content creation experience in an advertising or promotional environment. Experience using email campaign programs, social media platforms and HTML. Drupal knowledge is a plus. OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent organizational and project management skills and an ability to prioritize within a multi-tasked environment. Ability to perform and apply design skills across multiple channels including web, traditional and digital. Also, an understanding of how typography, layout, color and images impact design. Ability to apply verbal and interpersonal skills that develop member confidence, respect and trust in Credit Union of Colorado and develop cooperative relationships with all levels of people throughout the organization. PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is typically required to sit for long periods. The employee continually is required to talk or hear.
