The Bridge and Structures Designer 1 is responsible for performing engineering tasks related to structural design and analysis under the supervision of a licensed Engineer. The person in this position is expected to exercise strong critical thinking skills and be able to quickly learn and apply highly technical concepts and engineering skills. This person is expected to work well with others, absorb and apply constructive criticism, and seek guidance from more experienced members of the team as necessary. A person working in this position may also be required to assist others and should show a willingness to learn new skills and perform a variety of tasks not directly related to the field of structural engineering, including, but not limited to: construction support assignments, in-service inspections, transportation, and other civil engineering tasks. Job Responsibilities and Duties
