Job Title: Senior Accountant

Job Description

The ideal candidate will be responsible for calculating and analyzing future channel inventory POS reserve/program reserves, along with providing strategic insights through advanced reporting and analytics. This role will get exposure to a wide range of business activities and interact across geographies with cross functions.

Responsibilities:

Perform various monthly and quarterly revenue close tasks, including posting of monthly and quarterly revenue and contra revenue journal entries and preparing balance sheet account reconciliations.

Prepare accurate and timely monthly and quarterly revenue reports including performing reconciliation between reporting tool and GL and preparing management reporting packages.

Prepare monthly future rate tables by updating historical POS (Point of Sale) and Special Pricing Authorization rates, sell-through, and ending channel inventory data to help BU Finance determine the final future rates.

Lead future rate table meetings and gross margin analytics discussion with BU Finance team and Revenue team to review input on future rate.

Perform reporting analytics for variance and the impact of business activities on revenue.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, IT, Sales Operations, Channel Inventory POS Management, and BU Finance teams to improve the efficiency of revenue reporting processes.

Coordinate the audit requests in support of internal management and external audit to ensure that all the assigned revenue PBC deliverables are properly completed.

Hard Skills

6+ years of combined experience in combining audit and corporate revenue accounting in semiconductor technology/ hardware technology industry (for example, but not limited to, Seagate, Micron, Nvidia, etc.)

Strong corporate revenue operation experience on rebate accounting and future channel inventory POS

Strong communication and data analytical skills

Strong system operation experience in SAP/Oracle Cloud, OBIEE, Power Business Intelligence

Strong skills on Microsoft Excel

Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams throughout the organization at different levels

This is a contract position with a duration of 6-9 Month(s).

Work Environment

This role will be on the hybrid schedule - Mon, Wed, Thurs onsite in Milpitas, California
