Location - San Jose, CA Hybrid
Duration - 9 months
Pay rate - $92.87 per hour on W2
Required
The Product Manager will own specific work streams as a part of a broader problem-solving process, identify the most relevant information (from across the functional & Product teams) required to test specific hypotheses, and synthesize the relevant information to build actionable recommendations to the business. The ideal candidate should be able to:
Analyze business needs and provide creative solutions towards problem resolution.
Identify the most relevant sources of data/information needed to address the key issues on a project.
Help develop compelling "stories that convey the relevant synthesized solutions and insights in a compelling manner to various internal stakeholders.
Translate business requirements to functional specifications and coordinate with development team for building product capabilities
Call out key gaps in the current knowledge base and develop a plan to gather the most important information
Synthesize information across a wide variety of insight sources including: Cloud System, Product Systems, SAP ECC, Sales Force and MS-Dynamics, analytical systems (HANA, Databricks)
Additionally, the candidate should have experience in cross functional environments, driving change, and excellent communication skills, including a strong ability to communicate effectively to executive and non-technical audiences.
Responsibilities
Be the subject matter expert regarding in financial applications and analytics
Able to Define Product Road Map to address future business needs
Identify and prioritize growth opportunities for the business growth through the use of various tools and techniques
Use data, customer and competitive insights, and industry wide best practices to identify Finance platform capabilities and user experiences that will deliver value to internal business customers
Work with cross-functional teams to guide Finance products from conception to launch by connecting the technical and business worlds.
Collaborate with finance business unit stakeholders, team members, and outside influencers to ensure a solid and well-rounded understanding of products and developing needs are met.
Partner with teams at various levels of the organization and from different parts of business to help define and drive a multi-year business capabilities roadmap & strategic vision for the broader Finance initiatives
Create business cases outlining projected impact for each initiative to be prioritized on the roadmap
Write detailed product requirements and end to end use cases to be used by engineering & design teams
Effectively present information to technical or non-technical audiences ranging from team level meetings through to Executive briefs and updates
Demonstrate functionality of completed products to internal team members and other stakeholders
Develop metrics to assess the success of products and features and determine necessary enhancements
What You Need To Succeed
10+ years of p roven work experience in product management, corporate finance solutions, managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle, development, and support
Ability to craft clear, compelling recommendations supported by strong analysis and business logic, and articulate them to the organization to gain support for recommendations
Ability to articulate in documenting end to end product requirements, writing functional specs and user stories including story acceptance criteria for the engineering team
Solid business background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in financial applications such as ERP, tax and analytical solutions. This includes managing system requirements, evaluating products and solutions, design, integration, implementation, and maintenance of corporate revenue applications.
Experience in multiple software product launches through their lifecycle, and adept at driving communication, planning, measurement, and decision processes within the team and in partnership with key stakeholder organizations .
Experience working with Application, Product Engineering , Cloud-based teams and Analytical teams that employ scrum and agile methodologies.
Proven ability to operate effectively and autonomously in time sensitive situations of extreme ambiguity, with only high-level direction
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to work with technical and non-technical audiences as well as communicating as effectively to individual contributors as you do with executives
Strong influencing and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop strong working relationships, build credibility and trust with team members and Senior Leadership leveraging a dynamic leadership presence
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent;
MBA or equivalent strongly preferred
