**JOB DESCRIPTION**
**Primary Responsibilities**
* Achieve cost savings via negotiations with suppliers, conducting competitive bids and working with internal stakeholders to implement productivity improvement initiatives.
* Support continuous manufacturing operations by escalating and resolving supply and service issues with vendors.
* Work with internal stakeholders to optimize requisition to payment processes, qualify alternative suppliers and manage supply risks.
**Key Objectives**
* Responsibility for spend within Indirect Materials categories including maintenance, repair and operating supplies (MRO), chemicals, lubricants and others.
* Achieve Procurement targets on spending, weighted average vendor pay terms and supplier performance in Indirect categories.
* Lead commercial and contract negotiations with suppliers. Develop and maintain constructive business relationships with key suppliers.
* Develop and execute sourcing strategies to arrive at the best total value solution for the company.
* Lead non-commercial events as required to meet objectives, including, but not limited to Kaizen workshops and Working Capital/Inventory Workshops.
* Interface with other Procurement Operations Managers at each Arconic manufacturing site in the U.S. to develop in depth understanding of purchasing processes, critical material sourcing and savings initiatives.
* Work constructively with Category Managers to implement key strategic initiatives in the areas of packaging materials, energy, refractory, MRO, chemicals, lubricants, and other categories.
