Introduction to the team
We are currently seeking a qualified Director of Valuation Services to lead our Moss Adams Advisory Services Valuation practice for Southern California, as well as conduct business development, marketing, and staff management.
The Director will be responsible for business development and oversight of the valuation practice. The firms’ Valuation group is recognized as a leading specialist in the valuation of businesses, securities, and intangible assets for a wide range of tax, transaction and compliance purposes.

Responsibilities:
Develops, grows and manages the group's Valuation Consulting practice
Develops areas of expertise
Manages/performs consulting engagements as required
Assists with proposals and business development, including the development of marketing materials and web-based marketing initiatives
Teams with personnel from other offices and industry groups to manage and develop consulting practices
Attends valuations industry trade shows and conferences and participates in firm-wide marketing and sales programs
Assists in the development of training programs for existing clients and prospects
Participates as a presenter of topics Valuation seminars and webinars
Writes and/or co-authors articles for publications Valuation periodicals
Develops and participates in public speaking opportunities at industry trade shows and conferences
Leverages technical knowledge and experience to provide effective project management and practice development
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting or economics required; MBA preferred
CPA, ABV, CFA or ASA designation required
Minimum of 10 years of related experience required
Demonstrated practice management skills and practice development success
Team player and deadline oriented
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to multi-task and set workload priorities in a fast-paced environment
Ability to travel as needed, approximately 10%

It’s uncommon for an individual to be hired at the top end of the pay range. This position may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
