Working at Mental Health America of Northern Kentucky and Southwest Ohio as a Human Resource Generalist is dynamic. You will directly contribute to the continuous improvement process and efficiency of the agency. You will be working with teams to provide reliable tools, improved work flows, and become an agency expert in attracting and retaining strong candidates/employees, pay and benefits management, and limiting risk and liability for the agency largely through enforcing company policies and practices.

  • Serve as the HR leader on our Leadership Team
  • Conduct the hiring and onboarding processes for new employees
  • Lead the agency's compensation strategy (compensation and benefits)
  • Develop, monitor and enforce policies
  • Be a culture champion
  • Manage employee relations
  • Be a coach and cheerleader
  • Provide training
  • Run reports and work with teams
  • Coordinate processes, procedures, and documents
  • Learn and develop capability in non-profit human resource operations
What you'll need
  • Minimum requirement is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent plus education with 5+ years experience in a generalist role
  • Demonstrated non-profit generalist experience is preferred
  • Certified HR Professional preferred
  • Experience and ease in working with computers/software systems
  • Must be willing to participate in continuous learning and training
  • Must be willing to provide training and technical assistance to others
