Engineering training and experience is critical for this position.Duties and Responsibilities / General Competencies:Electrical engineering, machine/industrial automation, product and prototype testingCreate, maintain, and execute multiple projects and associated engineering documentationDesign, Operate, and Test systems and applications using low to medium voltage (480 VAC, 3-phase, and below), DC Circuits, and various analog distribution systemsSize and specify electrical and control components including transformers, circuit breakers, motor starters, conductors, etc.Develop, read, and check electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, control descriptions, I/O lists, Bills of Materials, and PLC/HMI code for control of various electro-mechanical systemsEnsure compliance with industry, engineering, and customer standards and specificationsWorking knowledge and application of electric codes and standardsFamiliar with design and programming of PLC, HMI and Ethernet interfacing; Develop control logic diagramsWork experience with PLC's, HMI's, Temperature controllers and control panel design is required. Exceptional analytical and applied problem solving skills; troubleshooting, problem identification, and resolution of programs and systemsSupport Field Service Technicians on equipment installation, startup, troubleshooting, and continuing maintenanceSupport Production efforts; resolve on-floor design and assembly issues as neededSales communication and customer support as requiredEducation, Certificates, Licenses, and Experience:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 2-5 years of applicable experienceAssociate's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology and 5-10 years of applicable experience preferred*Computer Skills:Autodesk products: AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, Inventor ProProficient working knowledge of MS Office SuiteCapacity to learn other software as necessary
