In 2014, we became a Federally Qualified Health Center to offer an expanded range of health and wellness services for anyone and everyone who is seeking healthcare services in Greater New Orleans and Southeastern Louisiana.Our MissionStrengthening our entire community through whole-person healthcare and education.Position SummaryThe Procurement and Purchasing Lead Coordinator is responsible for ensuring CrescentCare's purchases are in compliance with the Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles and Audit Requirements for Federal Grants (the Super-Circular). This role will develop and implement purchasing strategies, oversee vendor management including service contracts and negotiating pricing, coordinate with internal teams regarding supply needs, and serves as the subject matter expert on the procurement software for the entire organization.Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesDevelops and effectively implements centralized purchasing strategies for the whole organization.Coordinating and performing daily purchasing activitiesHandling supplier relations including negotiating contracts, prices, timelines, and ensuring that quality standards and specifications are met.Maintaining the supplier database, purchase records, and related compliance documentation.Coordinating and performing inventory control of standard office and medical supply needs.Ensures satisfactory and timely performance of service contracts with vendors providing maintenance of office equipment, medical and dental equipment and facility services equipment.Prepares cost estimates including leading the request for proposal process.Assists the Director of Operations with budget management.Training new employees in the purchasing process and how to use the purchasing system.Ensures compliance with purchasing and procurement guidelines and regulations.Maintain updated records of purchased product, delivery information and invoicesMonitor stock levels and place orders as needed and in coordination with other departmentsManages daily, monthly and quarterly reportsResponsible for managing the mail room.All other duties as assignedReviews and evaluates vendor contracts.Tracks warranties for equipmentProficient with purchasing and procurement software and is designated content expertSupports orientation and training of staff on purchasing and procurement software.Monitors and tracks vendors and vendor contracts.Supports OIG screening for all vendors.Supports agency compliance with all GSA and OIG regulations.Evaluates vendor DBE ratio for the organization and supports recruitment of DBE vendors whenever possible.Coordinates activities with finance and accounting departmentsParticipates in yearly budget process and tracking of fixed and movable assets.Supports departmental leadership to price and procure supplies and equipment as needed specifically for our food pantry, prevention departments, and medical services.Assures all procurement documentation is completed and attached to purchase orders as required.Receives orders and disseminates supplies timely as appropriate.Other duties as assignedQualificationsEducationBachelor's degree in business administration or a related field required.Work Experience5 years' experience with inventory and supply chain management including experience operationalizing and coordinating purchasing and procurement activities and working with automated purchasing and procurement software required.1 year of experience in healthcare preferredTotal Compensation PackageWe believe the investment we make in our employees is among the most important.
