Position Summary The HSEQ Manager is responsible for the development, implementation, operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Project specific management and reporting systems to ensure performance is in compliance with the Contract, applicable regulations and standards, and company requirements. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree or higher degree in engineering or related degree; or degree can be substituted for equivalent work experience and technical expertise in HSE and/or Quality Management. An individual must be able to meet and maintain successful performance of each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are the representative knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Act as the Projects Key HSEQ resource, identifying the applicable requirements of relevant standards and legislation and their application to Project activities and HSEQ Systems, implementing appropriate procedures, and training management, site personnel and sub-contractors thereon. Manage, monitor, and continuously improve safety performance by promoting a positive safety culture utilizing both leading and lagging indicators and supporting systems and strategies including the site safety committee, close call reporting, hazard identification, toolbox talks, etc. Ensure that management systems comply with the requirements of ISO 14001, ISO 9001, and Company policies and procedures. Review and ensure Quality of data and accuracy during the Monthly Report preparation process to determine compliance with Contract requirements. Take the lead in answering and addressing Client comments and questions resulting from the Monthly Report. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of asset management practices and fundamentals through advanced HSEQ principles and best practices. Must be able to negotiate, coordinate and plan effectively, self-directing activity based on observation. The incumbent must possess strong problem solving and communication skills. Possess the ability to manage and organize multiple priorities, maintain a significant customer focus and positive customer service attitude. Ability to handle confidential information, formulate and discuss high level strategy, Ability to multi-task with accuracy, work independently with attention to detail and organization, This position requires a highly developed sense of safety awareness and perceptive ability. The candidate must be willing to commit to working injury free and have the ability to recognize hazards inherent in routine and non-routine tasks and make adjustments to avoid loss, injury or accident. Must be able to communicate HSEQ processes and procedures with co-workers and stakeholders. Minimum Experience and Competencies A minimum of 10 years’ experience in comparable HSE or Quality centered roles with at least 5 years of management level experience; High level working knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio and Outlook Ability to read, understand and interpret legal Contracts - confidence to discuss and negotiate with Client; Ability to collect, process and analyze complex data and present in professional reports; Impeccable oral and written communication skills; Time management skills; must be able to meet deadlines
