**Job Description**

Aerospike Database is a high performance, highly scalable, distributed database optimized for SSD and advanced storage technologies, such as Intels Optane persistent memory. Our database needs easy to use, high performance clients for developers to create applications in the language of their choice.

As a Quality Engineer - Client SDK you will be an integral part of the client development team. You will be responsible for testing the quality and performance of our database client software, which powers the user experience of Aerospike application developers.

**What Youll Do**

* Create and implement testing of the different language clients for Aerospike Database

* Create and execute client/server clusters of Aerospike applications using automated methods

* Contribute to the development of testing infrastructure as needed

* Ensure release engineers are able to easily build, test, and release software on the automated system

* Collaborate with software and support engineers to deploy Aerospike clusters to reproduce and root-cause analyze problems reported from the field

* Guide other software developers in developing modules and services to run within our automated infrastructure

* Analyze complex infrastructure architecture specifications and design strategies to implement, deploy, and maintain these systems

* Monitor and analyze problems in our infrastructure, then work together with other software engineers to diagnose and resolve any issues

**Qualifications**

* Ability to analyze system requirements and develop an end-to-end infrastructure meeting them

* Knowledge of UNIX/Linux environments, including RedHat, Debian, and Ubuntu

* Programming skills in one or more languages, including C, Go, Java or Python

* Facility with distributed source code control systems such as Git

* Scripting skills in Python, Perl, or Shell

* Strong communication and documentation skills

* Understanding of operating system concepts, database fundamentals, networking, and/or distributed systems

* Flexible, do what needs to be done attitude

**Nice to Have**

* Experience with virtualization, containerization, and/or cloud-based infrastructure

* Experience with using and/or developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines

* Experience with SQL RDBMS and/or NoSQL Databases

* Experience with infrastructure automation tools and frameworks, such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet

* Experience with Docker and/or Kubernetes

**Education**

* Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science
