Responsibilities

JOB SUMMARY / PURPOSE

The Corporate Responsibility Program (CRP) Contract Administrator is responsible for administering compliance
contracting processes, policies and procedures to promote compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
This position requires an understanding of the CommonSpirit Health (CSH) enterprise and local entity business and
operational practices to provide high level support of CSH's contract administration functions. This position works
closely with key stakeholders related to contract administration. The Contract Administrator may support one or
more System office functions and Divisions, as assigned.

ESSENTIAL KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Facilitates the movement of a proposed Physician Transactions through CSH's internal review process, confirming physician requests contain required documentation and are complete. This includes but is not limited to reviewing contract language, physician compensation against benchmarks, fair market value, wRVU's (Work Relative Value Units), as well as compliance, business and legal concerns. Provides education to Business Owners regarding CSH's physician transaction policy and procedures.
  • Organizes and maintains a centralized contract database of all contracts. Supervises access to the electronic contract management system.
  • Identifies opportunities to improve the contract administration processes, specifically including the physician transaction policy and database administration. Actively participates in those improvements.
  • Prepares and presents reports and other communications related to contracts administration compliance.
  • Oversees ongoing monitoring and auditing of contracts to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. Works with internal and external auditors to plan audits, develop audit reports and action plans related to contracting matters.
  • Collaborates with management to develop, implement, and monitor ongoing compliance education related to contracts administration and database management.
  • Conducts investigations on matters related to contracts management and CSH policies under the supervision of CRP management.
  • Responsible for training and supervision of the Contract Coordinator as assigned.
Qualifications

Required Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree - equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of contracting experience.
  • Management experience preferred.
Required Licensure and Certifications
  • One of the following is preferred upon hire or required within first year of employment: Certified in HC Compliance (CHC), Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP) , Certified in Healthcare Research Compliance (CHRC), Certified in Healthcare Privacy Compliance (CHPC), Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), Certified Health Professional (CHP), Certified Coding Specialist - Physician-based (CCS-P), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Registered Nurse (RN) OR Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN), Paralegal, Juris Doctorate (JD)
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Training

  • Contract Law: Has knowledge of general contract principles and practices, particularly with respect to healthcare operations.
  • Communication: Ability to effectively present information and respond to common inquiries or complaints from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Must be proficient in use of Google Workspace, Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, and the Internet.
  • Ability to:
    • read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
    • write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
    • work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
