Avon, United States Controller Service and Sales Full time

Controller Service & Sales has openings in our Avon office for experienced, customer-oriented Inside Sales Rep to establish and maintain an excellent working relationship with our customers. This individual will respond to customer inquiries, process orders, advise on product application, availability, pricing, resolve discrepancies and to promote a strong company image by acting in a professional and courteous manner and insure customer satisfaction. JOB SUMMARY: Provides a wide variety of duties specific to handling sales calls from customer and vendors via phone, fax, email or “walk-ins”. Answering technical or application questions and order status to ensure customer satisfaction in a safe, effective and efficient manner that meets both business and customer requirements in accordance with company policies and procedures. RESPONSIBILITIES Respond to incoming sales inquiries via fax or email in a professional manner to ensure customer satisfaction Process customer orders, advising on product application, availability, correct part and part number, price and shipping Confer with vendors to determine availability, application, pricing, etc. Track all quotes to insure timely follow-up on customer inquiries Identify and track orders which could become receivable problems Communicate and work cooperatively with fellow employees to meet customer needs Attend company and vendor sponsored training seminars to improve product knowledge and/or job skills Remain knowledgeable and up-to-date on changes with developments in the electrical controls field Perform all duties in conformance to safety and security standards Maintain a clean and orderly work area Other duties as assigned to meet customer needs SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: College graduate or equivalent amount of education/experience At least 2 years of experience in customer service or sales Familiarity with electrical motor controls, panelboards and switchgear Excellent telephone communications skills Ability to multi-task in a busy and demanding office Familiarity with Epicor Eclipse ERP software Detail oriented and close attention to accuracy ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Effectively communicate both orally and in writing Ability to read and write accurately Research information in vendor catalogs Maintain a profession manner Computer literate including ability to input data into computer system using a keyboard and/or other input devices Ability to analyze data and to resolve problems Thorough understanding of Epicor Eclipse ERP software Ability to use phone, fax machine, copy machine, and other office equipment as necessary The duties above are examples of the various types of work performed.
