The analyst will be required to define requirements, system design, analysis, build/configuration, testing, implementation, documentation, and support the applications that meet the specifications of a project or service request.Key responsibilities include, but not limited to:Takes initiative to meet with end users for ongoing review of workflows associated with upcoming enhancements or system changes.Performs the evaluation, testing, and implementation of defect patches, system upgrades and releases according to the Information Services support model and change control procedures.Evaluates and recommends business process and technology driven enhancement opportunities based on application system upgrades, releases and patches.Ability to effectively analyze and resolve simple to moderate issuesProvides well-written and effective professional and technical documentation.Independently manage individual work effort, including developing, executing, and monitoring of a work plan in addition to assisting work efforts of others.Stays informed on current market trends and emerging technology developments that impact their application.Determines solutions with minimal assistance and makes effective decisions within scope of authority.Adheres to change management standards and established Service Level Agreements (SLA) for incidents and requests.This position is required to rotate on-call responsibilities.Pharmacy Applications TeamEpic Electronic Medical Record, specifically Epic Willow Inpatient and Epic Willow Ambulatory that is the comprehensive pharmacy management module used for medication ordering, pharmacist verification, monitoring, billing, etc. This team is concerned for all functions in the EHR that relate to medications. In addition, uses Epic tools such as Reporting Workbench and SlicerDicer (Med Administration, Order, & Dispensing).Epic integrated content requirements are required for First Data Bank (FDB) as the base of all medications (inpatient and outpatient) including allergens and interaction records, as well as Dynamedex/Micromedex med reference links on medications.Beacon Oncology allows physicians to create treatment plans and protocols that are developed with specific medications, labels, supportive care, treatment days, etc. working with Pharmacy Oncology, Oncology Providers, and Beacon Oncology team.Third party application support includes: QS1 NRx Retail Pharmacy for retail pharmacies, ScriptPro Robotics (automate fills at the Employee Clinic), BD Pyxis Medstations used at all hospitals and select clinics, BD Logistics Inventory across all hospitals, Pak-Edge Unit Dose Packager, Abacus TPN Dispensing System, Dr. First used for pulling Med History information, StatStock to assist with med crash cart kits for quicker drug replenishments, Medi-Dose (MILT) repackage solid orals with unit dose meds for barcode administration labeling, and Macro Helix used for 340B support.Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Healthcare related field or relevant work experience required2+ years of progressive experience in IT dealing with vendor application implementations and support or equivalent combination of education, training and experienceExperience in testing software applicationAbility to effectively support applicationsWorks independently with quantifiable and qualitative resultsAbility to conduct analysis, document findings, draft plans, execute, monitor and follow upIndependently motivated to seek knowledge through self-education, mentoring, etc. in areas pertaining to their current positionRecognized as a source of knowledge on primary applications both functional and technical operationsObtains and maintains current certification from the vendor and continued education/learning to understand the functionality of applications(s) supported as applicable to the job role.Application Analyst I & II are required to complete and maintain one primary Epic Certification as determined by manager.
