Key Responsibilities:

1. System Maintenance and Support:

•Monitor the performance of our IT systems, including networks, servers, and software applications.

•Respond promptly to any technical issues or outages, troubleshoot problems, and implement solutions to minimize downtime.

•Conduct regular maintenance tasks, such as updates, patches, and backups, to ensure system reliability and security.

2. Technology Implementation:

•Collaborate with management and department heads to identify opportunities for implementing new technologies that enhance hotel operations or guest services.

•Research, evaluate, and recommend hardware and software solutions that align with our business objectives and budgetary constraints.

•Lead or assist in the implementation of approved technology projects, including system upgrades, installations, and integrations.

3. User Training and Support:

•Provide training and support to staff members on the use of IT systems and applications, ensuring that they have the knowledge and skills needed to perform their duties effectively.

•Serve as a point of contact for users seeking technical assistance or guidance, offering prompt and courteous support to resolve issues and answer questions.

4. Security and Compliance:

•Implement and enforce security measures to protect our IT infrastructure and data from unauthorized access, cyber threats, and compliance risks.

•Stay informed about emerging cybersecurity threats and best practices, proactively addressing vulnerabilities and implementing safeguards to mitigate risks.

5. Documentation and Reporting:

•Maintain accurate records and documentation related to IT assets, configurations, procedures, and incidents.

•Generate regular reports on system performance, service levels, and incident resolution metrics, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.

•Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.

•Previous experience in IT support or system administration, preferably in the hospitality industry.

•Proficiency in networking, hardware/software troubleshooting, and system administration.

•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.

•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.

•Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices.

  • Sick Leave:
    • Full time, part time and on-call colleagues accrue and have the right to utilize sick and safe time according to Seattle's Paid Sick and Safe Time Ordinance. As a Tier Three employer all colleagues accrue one (1) hour of paid sick and safe time for every 30 hours worked starting on their hire date, however, these colleagues cannot use their accrued sick time until they have completed 90-days of employment with Hyatt
  • Extended Illness Days: unused sick and safe time in excess of 72 hours converted to Extended Illness Days at the end of each calendar year

Hourly roles with seven year rates: The hourly starting rate for this position is $25.50 with an increase to $26.00 after 90 days.. This position also has an established rate for colleagues who remain in the position for seven years, which is an additional $0.75

Hourly roles with ten year rates: The hourly starting rate for this position is $25.50 with an increase to $26.00 after 90 days.This position also has an established rate for colleagues who remain in the position for ten years, which is an additional $1.00
