This individual will report to the Director of Accounting and perform a critical role in day-to-day operation and monthly tasks including account reconciliations, subledger maintenance in revenue cycle. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, a self-starter, and have knowledge of US GAAP related to revenue recognition. The team is lean and each member is required to work efficiently. We are seeking a candidate who can ramp up quickly and make an impact in a highly dynamic and fast paced environment. In This Role, You Will Perform customer contract reviews and analysis, including contract modifications, to ensure appropriate revenue recognition treatment under ASC 606. Prepare supporting schedules to ensure all contracts and modifications are properly analyzed and documented, and the resulting revenue calculations align with the technical accounting conclusions and the Company’s revenue policies. Own accurate and timely billing operations, including review of sales taxes on invoices. Apply customer payments. Maintain revenue accounting records in the system up to date. Contribute to the month-end close process including journal entries, account reconciliations and fluctuation analysis related to revenue cycle. Assist on sales tax filings. Work closely with FP&A to assist their collection effort. Respond to ad hoc management requests related to revenue cycle. Seek continuous process improvement in day-to-day activities. QUALITIES WE’RE LOOKING FOR Must-Haves Minimum of 4 years of accounting experience - public accounting or in-house/corporate accounting are both great. 2 + years of experience working with ERP/General Ledger Systems. 2 + years of experience working with ASC 606 and/or AR functions. Strong proficiency in MS Excel with the ability to navigate large data sets. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills. Ability to gather, interpret and analyze relevant data and information, to apply proper accounting and operational procedures. Proactive and contributive; takes initiative and follows-through reliably. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills and professional demeanor. Self-motivated and dedicated; able to work and problem-solve independently. Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize and meet deadlines. Ability to work well in a team environment and promote inclusiveness and communication among team members. Proven project management experience and demonstrated ability to drive. Pluses CPA license. NetSuites and/or Salesforce experience. Revenue accounting experience in SaaS business is preferred. Accounting automation and implementation experience. Experience in contributing to the US GAAP financial audit. Regular problem-solving of unique revenue or receivable transactions with a focus on how the resolution contributes to the accuracy of the financial record. Additional Job Details The base salary range for this position is $100k - $130k annually. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience.
