The focus of this position is on creating and/or assisting with curating engaging marketing content that supports strategies to increase fundraising, increasing our reach/engagement, and staying relevant with the ever-changing digital landscape. Reporting Relationships:

Employee reports to the Director of Communications and Marketing. This position does not manage any direct reports. Essential Job Functions: Social Media, Digital and Graphic Design

Assists in maintaining, updating and expanding the United Way website, social networking efforts, and e-communications. With the Director of Communications, develop and implement annual social media plan which enhances CAUW’s brand and increases our reach and engagement. Designs various marketing materials in house and is able to work with outsourced designers as needed.

Communications and Marketing

Works with other departments to coordinate and execute our donor thank-you process. Participates in the execution of the communications and marketing plan Develop storytelling content for blog, newsletter, video, social media, and workplace giving campaign collateral, in collaboration with other CAUW team members. Responsible for/assists with the production of United Way events. Assists with copywriting, proofing, design and production of communication pieces that supports our organizational, campaign, program, and marketing efforts. Assists with the development of organizational brand guidelines in coordination with United Way Worldwide standards. Assists in the creation and distribution of communication pieces (press releases, advisories, e-communications, etc.) as directed. Participate in cross-functional activities in support of organizational goals. Performs other duties and responsibilities as required under the direction of supervisor. Strives to evaluate and implement continuous improvement to work processes while maintaining quality throughout the organization.

Preferred Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or related field. Minimum three years’ experience in marketing, communications, or related field. Experience with AP Style writing and editing, graphic design, photography, computer proficiency, website management, and social media experience preferred. Knowledge of ADOBE InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop required. Knowledge of HTML code and web maintenance a plus. Excellent written and verbal communications; strong organizational skills; ability to meet demanding deadlines; ability to work within budgets; ability to handle multiple projects with ease; work independently and in a group; self-starter; computer proficiency; ability to resourcefully collect information and compile findings; supervisory skills.
