Youth Action Board Program Manager

to develop and coordinate programs and initiatives focused on empowering students and their peers to be youth changemakers through The Allstate Foundation’s Youth Action Board program. Reporting to the Senior Director of Member and Student Engagement, the program manager will collaborate with the student engagement team and all members of the Campus Compact staff. The program manager will work with foundation staff, the Senior Director, and the student engagement team to ensure all aspects of the Youth Action Board program are executed effectively and successfully. The program manager will play a critical role in the ideation, development, and implementation of Youth Action Board activities, projects, and initiatives while centering youth voices and empowerment. About the Youth Action Board: Thanks to the generous funding of The Allstate Foundation, The Allstate Foundation Youth Action Board is a new program that empowers 30 youth changemakers (aged 18 -22) to serve communities nationally and mobilize their peers to serve. The 30-member board will be responsible for helping The Allstate Foundation advance its strategy for empowering youth to serve and improve communities across the country. The board will achieve this mission by developing and participating in youth-led service initiatives, planning and launching national youth engagement efforts (including summits and days of service), advising The Allstate Foundation and its partners on pressing youth issues, and more. Key responsibilities : Develop and implement program content (including learning objectives and a virtual curriculum), leveraging experience in creating and leading student programs. Serve as the primary point of contact and mentor for Youth Action Board members, providing personalized guidance on their Youth Action Board work and other changemaking initiatives they lead. Support youth voice, agency, and leadership in shaping Campus Compact and The Allstate Foundation initiatives by organizing monthly Youth Action Board meetings, supplemental trainings, and other opportunities. Plan and execute virtual and in-person youth-focused events, meetings, days of service, webinars, and conferences by contributing to program design and leading logistical execution (e.g., space, tech, speakers, etc.). Develop and coordinate mentorship opportunities for Youth Action Board members by recruiting foundation employees, Campus Compact employees, and other stakeholders to serve as professional mentors for Youth Action Board members. Support the Youth Action Board in distributing grants to youth changemakers across the country by coordinating and executing a youth-led grantmaking process including all related administrative tasks. Lead essential communications, logistics, and planning for new Youth Action Board programming. Advance partnerships and collaborations with other entities and initiatives that connect and engage students from diverse communities. Support program evaluation and assessment through data collection and assessment activities. Support the organization-wide efforts to integrate and deepen diversity, equity, and inclusion. You bring deep program or project management knowledge and have proven experience coordinating days of service, civic programming, youth advocacy, and/or mini-grant funding. You understand how to manage multiple tasks and activities with diverse timelines and deliverables. You are a self-starter who is willing to jump in and solve problems proactively. You are an analytical thinker with the ability to implement tactically . You take a hands-on approach to translating strategy into day-to-day activities. You have a track record in setting priorities and creating structures, processes, and procedures that foster financial health and organizational accountability. You are tech-savvy and well-organized.

You are knowledgeable and competent with commonly used office and project management software. You have strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, multi-task, work under deadlines, and manage the work of diverse stakeholders. Your work product is meticulous and accurate. You are an adaptable and resourceful team player . You possess a “get it done” attitude, with the ability to stay focused and nimble in a dynamic environment. You are effective at building positive relationships with colleagues and committed to professional learning and growth. You have at least an associate's or a bachelor’s degree. The following qualifications are preferred: 5-10 years of related experience in non-profit or higher education, including designing, organizing, and leading youth-focused programming, trainings, and events (especially on college or university campuses or in other youth-centric environments) Strong understanding of community service, community engagement, and/or social impact Supervision over youth mentorship programs Event coordination experience (both virtual and in-person) Project management software and tools proficiency Grant management and distribution experience Experience leading service initiatives as a youth leader or starting non-profits is strongly preferred
