Senior Quality Assurance Automation Engineer

The Senior Quality Assurance Automation Engineer at Applied Innovation Consulting is a critical member of our Product Development Team, focused on ensuring the highest quality of our solutions through meticulous test planning and automation. This role involves developing and executing automation scripts to enhance code coverage and identify issues early in the development cycle. You'll be part of an agile team, contributing to the design, implementation, and maintenance of robust automation frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing, developing, and executing automation scripts using Selenium.
  • Conducting functional and non-functional testing (e.g., performance, load, regression, security).
  • Creating, maintaining, and executing test cases and test suites.
  • Integrating test automation with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Collaborating with Developers, DevOps Engineers, and Product Managers to resolve defects.
  • Utilizing testing methodologies like BDD and TDD to validate software functionalities.
  • Documenting test cases and maintaining clear records for team understanding and project tracking.
  • Participating in Agile/Scrum meetings to discuss product features and address potential quality issues.
  • Tracking, documenting, and reporting defects using tools like JIRA.
  • Staying updated with industry trends and technologies in quality assurance and software testing.
  • Utilizing programming languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Java) for test automation.

What We're Looking For:

  • 6+ years of experience with Selenium development against Java technology stacks.
  • Proven experience in automating tests for web UI.
  • Expertise in test planning and execution for large, complex systems.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java and Python.
  • Experience with both manual and automated testing.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and technical aptitude.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Passion for quality and customer experience.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, or a related field.

  • Advanced expertise in Selenium, JIRA, Cucumber, TestNG, and Java.
