OverviewLooking to make a big impact with the patients you serve?We at Fairview Health Services are looking for a member of the Patient Registration team in Womens Health at our Burnsville clinic This role is approve for 48 hours every two weeks and is benefit eligible position. To find out more about what benefits we offer at Fairview, including medical, dental insurance, PTO, 401k/403b, click here Pay starts at $20 The hours for this role will likely be Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm Responsibilities Job DescriptionOur Patient Registration crew greets and welcomes patients into the clinic. The verify, register and schedule patients with accurately and efficiently. This includes verifying insurance and demographic information. This team also reviews and maintains patient accounts, secures financial arrangements on self-pay balances prior to and during patient appointments, and researches and facilitates patients questions and concerns.Verifies patient insurance coverage, eligibility, contract group number, effective dates and coverage, accurate insurance, and billing address.Advises patients of insurance coverage co pays or self-pay policy and documents in patient account for front desk staff.Monitors patient balances on patient accounts and alerts patients of outstanding balances to ensure appropriate financial arrangements.Actively participates in crafting and implementing improvements.Answers in-coming calls from patients or internal team members to assist with patient care when the need arisesSchedules appointments for patients with specified clinician according to scheduling guidelines and availability actively trying to accommodate all involved QualificationsPreferredCompletion of medical terminology course or equivalent experience and education preferred.Those who excel in this role:The connect with all whom they encounter in an encouraging manner.
