Job Description
  • Assist PSEP, WEX, and VT participants who have completed their training period or vocational training program in finding unsubsidized employment
  • Increase number of unsubsidized employment jobs monthly to assist in achieving post placement performance benchmark
  • Ensure participants gain unsubsidized employment within the contractual time limits: PSEP - 60 days, WEX & VT - 30 days
  • Utilize QuickBase to run reports on participants scheduled to end their training period or vocational training program
  • Connect with participants prior to their scheduled end dates to discuss employment opportunities and interests
  • Assist in reviewing and updating participant resumes to ensure information is accurate prior to sending to an employer and scheduling interviews
  • Utilize existing related employers and new employer outreach to assist participants with scheduling interviews
  • Conduct employer outreach attempts and mock interviews with participants
  • Outreach to new employers via email or phone to gather job leads regularly
  • Build new connections with employers and strengthen existing ones by reaching out through methods like cold calls, emails, and in-person visits.
  • Connect with local community colleges and vocational training career centers to build relationships and find employment opportunities for participants completing VT programs
  • Schedule and conduct visits to employers, schools, and career centers to understand their hiring needs and promote EWS participants.
  • Provide support to current employers through face-to-face meetings, emails, and phone calls to maintain strong relationships.
  • Support PSEP and WEX by being POC for Subsidized Employment worksites.
  • Complete subsidized employer site visit forms and enter results into QuickBase monthly
  • Provide subsidized and unsubsidized employer feedback to SEVT team and implement action plans to strengthen employer relationships
  • Maintain employer records in QuickBase including but not limited to adding new employer and job leads, adding related employer interviews, updating existing employer information and job leads and removing old employer contacts.
  • Support in the communication of participant updates and retrieval of documentation such as Site Visits, Business Licenses, Agreements, Termination Information, etc.
  • Obtain Employer Agreements for PSEP/WEX/VT (Employer Agreements, Business Licenses, supporting documents) as needed
Qualifications
  • Related Associate degree from an accredited university or college, or equivalent work experience
  • Related work experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated customer service skills
  • Familiarity with the communities being served, with knowledge and understanding of local needs and resources
  • One to three years' experience in workforce development or related programs preferred
