Description

EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Analyzes, prepares and inputs payroll data on a weekly basis for 160+ employees at two facilities (OC & VAF).

Is responsible for regular payroll maintenance.

Processes individual employee salary/rate adjustments, attendance data or other changes affecting employee payroll status, including new hires, transfers, layoffs, terminations, garnishments, vacation, paid and unpaid leaves of absences, Family Medical Leave, and related actions. Ensures PAAs are completed and filed with supporting paperwork attached.

Calculates and posts all required and voluntary pay deductions for taxes and benefits.

Issues memos and other correspondence to employees and supervisors regarding special payroll problems.

Provides superior customer service to employees upon request to explain their paychecks or assists them with special payroll problems.

Communicates with corporate payroll to ensure division is current with payroll tax laws and wage and hour laws.

Enforces payroll policies.

Maintains advanced knowledge of Paycom.

Is responsible for ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of all payroll and personnel information, files, data – includes both written and oral forms of information.

Compiles routine internal and external reports (weekly and monthly) and special reports

as required/requested and distributed to appropriate individual in a confidential manner.

Audits payroll entry and reports.

Regular communications with supervisors regarding payroll & payroll changes.

Conducts employment verifications as needed.

Calculates Attendance and Safety Bonus check runs on a quarterly basis.

Maintains documentation of payroll and skill based pay procedures.

Is an expert in all Webco policies and procedures as outlined in the Webco Employee Handbook in order to assist employees and managers with questions when needed

Maintains files and records on all payroll and personnel matters, filing such in personnel files and ensuring all records and files are kept current and in order according to procedure.

Tracks employee attendance and ensures appropriate follow up is done.

Works with the HR Manager in planning company-wide events and activities (ie, picnic, plant meeting, influenza vaccinations, etc).

Assists HR Manager on special projects and assignments as needed.

Assists employees and dependents regarding benefit coverage questions or directs them to the appropriate source.

Serves as project leader during annual open enrollment activities.

Facilitates Benefit Orientation to communicate Webco’s benefits to new employees.

Serve as a liaison between the employee and the insurance company on benefit questions and problems that arise.

Qualifications

PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS:

B.S. Degree in Human Resources Management or Associates Degree in Business Administration or related field preferred and/or 3+ years experience in a Human Resources-related position.

Experience in a manufacturing environment a plus.

Highly motivated, personable, flexible, and eager to enhance knowledge and skills through on-going education and development.

Must have the ability to multi-task and focus on work with details.

Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.

Must be able to work independently, as well as in project team environment.

Must be able to maintain high level of confidentiality.

Must have proficient skills in the use of personal computers including Windows Office applications.

Ability to use a variety of office equipment properly for routine tasks on an as needed-basis, including fax machines, copy machines, email and central calendar systems.

Protect employee interests in accordance with Webco’s HR policies and appropriate governmental laws and regulations.

Understand the need and reasons for confidentiality. Maintain extreme and discrete confidentiality at all times, including documents and personnel files. Exercise discretion in communicating with others.

Desire to look for improved ways of doing things, especially in delivering human resources services and capabilities to managers and employees.

Demonstrated skill and effectiveness in oral and written communications, with the ability to prepare and deliver concise, understandable reports and presentations.
