Engineering support role for Houston Domestic and International A&D team, focused on execution of upstream and midstream oil and gas pitches, live mandates and ad hoc technical requests. Create, manage and maintain ARIES / PHDwin databases related to advisory mandates and any related pitch work in an accurate and timely manner. Run database sensitives as required by clients/senior bankers and provide timely and accurate outputs to the rest of the team. Support ad hoc analysis and requests by pulling third party (Enverus, Wood Mackenzie, Welligence) data using Spotfire or other proprietary tools to assist with evaluations and any related client/senior banker request. Continuously develop new tools that enhance database related efficiency and accuracy. Provide colleagues/customers with troubleshooting issues and closing any knowledge gaps with engineering database management software. Contribute to engineering portions of management presentations and pitch materials, including assisting with slide preparation and engineering analysis with senior engineering oversight. Maintain working knowledge of oil and gas industry trends, commodity prices, and latest developments in technology. Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions. Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles.
