DuPont Water & Protection is recruiting for a Technical Advisor to join our dedicated team located at our Copolymer manufacturing site in Midland, MI. We are looking for people who have a passion for delivering innovative, sustainable solutions that meet our customer needs for a better, healthier, safer life. Water & Protection is a leading provider of engineered products and integrated systems for the construction, worker safety, energy, oil & gas, transportation, water purification and medical markets

As a Technical Advisor you will provide leadership, operational expertise, technical, mechanical, and hands-on assistance for the safe operation and maintaining of reliable service for all processes and assets aligned to Midland Copolymer facility. The Technical Advisor is instrumental in providing coaching, leadership, and subject matter expertise in plant operations for daily operations and plant shutdown, startup, and turnaround activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES DESCRIPTION

Your key responsibilities will be/what you'll do:

  • To utilize Plant resource/s with working knowledge of the process to coach and enhance the technical capabilities of the teams by sharing experiences, technical skills and knowledge
  • Performs and assists in process related Root Cause or failure analysis.
  • Participates as required in audits and customer visits
  • Works to identify and implement permanent plant process changes through the creation, development, participation and leadership of improvement teams
  • Provides a resource with plant process knowledge and operational perspective to plan and coordinate the activities for the Start Up and Shutdown Process.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Requirements:
  • Highschool diploma, GED, or equivalent is required
  • 5+ years of experience as an operator in full scale production plant is required
  • Six Sigma Greenbelt is preferred
  • Prior successful experience in Technical Advising, Activity Coordination, or Startup/Shutdown roles is preferred
