Our mission is to improve the health of patients in the communities we serve by proving them with the highest quality imaging and associated medical care.Summary of Position: The Pre-Registration Specialist is responsible for accurate and complete insurance verification, and complete pre-registration of all scheduled clinic visits. The Pre-Registration Specialist is responsible for taking inbound calls, making outbound calls, and timely and accurately pre-registering patients. This position will also be responsible for attempting to collect co-pays, coinsurance, and deductibles from patient at the time of pre-registration.Job Responsibilities:Obtains insurance verification and benefits using an automated tool, insurance carrier websites, or phonePrepares an estimate for scheduled services and notifies patient/guarantor of any applicable out of pocket and requests payment if applicableAccurately documents all information in the appropriate fields and/or account notesOrganizes, prioritizes, and reviews daily work activity to ensure completion of assigned workload.Maintains a positive working relationship with patients/guarantors, insurance companies, clinic personnel, co-workers, and management to promote teamwork and cooperationMaintain working knowledge of estimated patient financial responsibilities via the estimation tool and perform outreach to the patients prior to the scheduled appointment to verify patient demographics and notify patient of their estimated financial responsibilityAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. The actual amount may be higher or lower, based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities. This position will remain open until filled.Radiology Imaging Associates offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, term life insurance, AD&D, EAP, Short Term Disability, Long Term Disability, PTO and holiday pay for eligible employees. There are also options for voluntary income protection benefits i.e. supplemental life insurance, accident, and critical illness, profit sharing 401(k) retirement plan, tuition reimbursement and discounted imaging services. Part-time employees may have access to some of these benefits, which may be on a pro-rated basis. Full-time employees will become eligible for benefits on the the first day of the month following 30 days of employment.
