HR Benefits & Generalist Manager

(Part Time – 24 to 30 Hours Per Week)

Job Objective

The HR Benefits & Generalist Associate is responsible for employee benefit administration, record management, recruitment and onboarding, and general HR administration. The HR Benefits & Generalist Associate may support other human resource functions, programs and initiatives which may include, but is not limited to, employee recognition, events, performance management, policies and procedures, and compliance with state, federal and municipal regulations.

Primary Duties / Essential Functions

· Ensures proper and secure protocol for benefits enrollment and processing, via online management system.

· Continually administers benefits program with accuracy and efficiency, regularly reviewing benefits offerings for cost efficiency and enhancements.

· Implements and maintains Talent Management system, including upgrades and enhancements.

· Prepares reports as required – government reports, EEO, benefits, HR reports, etc…

· Maintains employee records – employee file and/or in HRIS/Talent Management system.

· Administers and updates company Policies and Handbook to employees.

· Ensures timeliness and HR administrative protocols are followed in regard to team members benefits management, onboarding, and terminations, among other items..

· Supports the recruitment process to ensure compliance with posting job openings, interviewing, onboarding and offboarding of team members.

· Responds to

unemployment/disability/workers

comp claims as required.

· Manages COBRA process.

· Supports Employee Morale Events

· Fully understands and complies with all federal, state, and municipal regulations, including reporting requirements.

· Ensures completion of regularly scheduled performance reviews.

· Prepares accurate correspondence and other documents for PAL staff.

· Responds to HR issues as required – ADA, FLMA, etc...

· Develops and Coordinate staff training needs, as directed.

Other Duties

· Performs other duties as assigned.

Education Requirement and Prior Work Experience

· High School Degree required; college degree preferred.

· A minimum of two years benefits management experience is required.

· Proficient with Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel). Familiarity with Deltek’s Vantage a plus.

· Proficient with Benefits Management Programming – Navigator a plus.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Must be flexible with time and able to adjust and adapt to a changing work environment.

· Must possess a valid driver’s license.

· SHRM and/or HRCI Certification highly desired.

This job operates in a semi-private clerical office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand, as necessary.

Schedule, Travel, and Availability

The part time work schedule may be subject to occasional adjustments based on company needs. Limited local travel may be necessary.

Background Checks

Compensation: $35 to $50 per hour
