Overview The Sales Account Manager will be responsible for cultivating productive and mutually beneficial relationships with customers across the food and nutrition market. Responsibilities 1. Develop long-term, productive relationships with current customers by understanding their business needs and seeking to address their challenges. 2. Ensure that the customer views LBBS as trusted partner and problem-solver. 3. Leverage market knowledge to seek opportunities for new business development. Identify, prioritize, nurture and develop potential sales. 4. Establish (and follow) a rigorous process for following up on new leads, pursuing new lines of inquiry, etc. 5. Understand market trends and competitive environment in our market segments. 6. Provide market and customer feedback to all internal stakeholders. 7. Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree required. Minimum five years’ sales experience in the food & nutrition market with customer facing roles. Proven sales track record with customers in the food & nutrition market. Knowledge and Skills General knowledge of consumer and marketplace trends. Generate leads with “hunter” mentality. Familiarity with key customer contacts and/or relationships with suppliers is desired. Excellent computer skills including (Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Personal Attributes Personal integrity. The highest standard of personal and professional conduct. Entrepreneurial mindset coupled with discipline. Strong work ethic and personal initiative. The ability to work independently with little day-to-day supervision. Consultative, solutions-oriented sales approach. Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to present information in a clear, concise, and persuasive manner. Self-starter who works with minimal supervision and is comfortable working in a dynamic, changing environment. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with others. Must be able to travel 50% (mostly by vehicle).
