Responsibilities Responsible for technical oversight of all areas of the contract that deal with the energy calculations, standards, policies, or criteria Applies knowledge of mathematics, science, and engineering to solve basic problems Designs a system, component, or process to meet desired needs within realistic constraints such as economic, environmental, social, political, ethical, health and safety, manufacturability, and sustainability Participates on multidisciplinary teams Identifies, formulates, and finds solutions to engineering problems Plans, designs and estimates time and cost on specific engineering projects Develops and applies engineering standards and procedures and provides advice on issues within the engineering field May act as group lead/team lead providing work leadership to lower level employees Required Experience Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited university in either mechanical or electrical engineering Minimum of 15 years of experience in energy engineering (energy systems design, facility energy modeling, auditing, energy studies, commissioning, and validating and executing energy conservation projects) Demonstrated recent experience with Government or industry processes, procedures, standards, methodologies, or tools as relative to the assignment. At least three years of experience in facility energy modeling and have strong background in mathematical modeling. Possess a thorough background in DOD, Army and Federal Energy and Sustainability laws, policies, executive orders, regulations, instructions, and guidance. Secret clearance required Preferred Qualifications Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) and/or Certified Energy Manager (CEM) certification Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
