Position Responsibilities

As a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be integral to a team dedicated to the manufacturing of Ceramic Matrix Composites (CMC), a unique offering in the industry. This role presents an exciting opportunity to engage with cutting-edge technology. GE Renewable Energy Power and Aviation leads the way in delivering innovative aircraft engines, systems, and avionics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct a variety of quality assurance activities throughout the manufacturing process, including investigating non-conformances. You will be the final checkpoint before materials are dispatched.
  • Utilize your analytical problem-solving skills to identify and implement solutions within the production process.
  • Ensure compliance with specifications through measurement and testing during in-house manufacturing. Oversee incoming goods control, product inspections, and witness points to maintain quality standards for external supplier items.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of a specific technical discipline.
  • Gain insight into key business drivers; leverage this knowledge to enhance your work. Understand how your team's efforts integrate with other teams and contribute to the overall objectives.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution (or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years of quality experience)
  • At least 3 years of experience in quality engineering within the aviation sector
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution (or a high school diploma with relevant experience and at least 6 years of experience)
  • 3-5 years of quality control experience in an aviation setting
