FP&A Analyst

to join our team The FP&A (Financial Planning and Analysis) Analyst serves as a key player of the Finance department by supporting the company’s financial planning, analysis and decision-making processes. This position will have a high level of collaboration with various departments to provide accurate financial insights, forecasts and recommendations to drive strategic business initiatives. While we do offer traditional sales representation as a service, it is the tip of the iceberg. We are also a North American distributor with vendor numbers at 70 (and counting) retailers. We are an Ecommerce Reseller; we purchase and manage 60,000+ skus on Amazon and other marketplaces. We are an in-house retail media agency, providing our brands with comprehensive advertising services (DSP, PPC, etc) to accelerate growth. We have an expanding Premium Incentive / Corporate Gifting business segment. You have a go-getter attitude and want to work with a company that gets stuff done Primary responsibilities: • Perform detailed financial analysis to assess performance, market trends, and key metrics • Prepare month-end variance analysis to forecast and budget, communicating financial risks and opportunities to stakeholders • Develop, coordinate and report budgets and forecasts for departments • Collaborate cross-functionally with departments to understand their financial needs, working closely with them to develop financial models for new initiatives or projects • Establish, monitor and analyze KPIs, ensuring alignment with business objectives and recommend areas for improvement • Contribute to process improvement and the enhancement of financial modeling techniques • Conduct ad hoc financial analysis to support strategic initiatives or special projects • Other duties as assigned Requirements: • At least three years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A or related, in a retail environment a plus • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field OR equivalent experience • Proficiency in budgeting and forecasting techniques, financial modeling, and analysis • Knowledge of accounting procedures • Working knowledge of inventory management preferred • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail • Excellent communication skills • Superior analysis skills with aptitude to make sense of large, complex datasets • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment • Business proficiency with Microsoft Suite, strong with Excel • Prior experience with NetSuite or other ERP systems a plus • Ability to meet strict deadlines, maintain high levels of confidentiality and work both independently and collaboratively • Hybrid environment out of our corporate office in Mendota Heights, MN (3 days per week in office seasonally) What we offer: We provide competitive salaries and benefits to make sure you and your families are taken care of.
